About the book
This book contains five manuscripts that delve into different aspects of financial management. These include financial reporting, valuation, management of risk and finances, and creating financial statements.
The book describes corporate finance in full detail but still retaining a professional approach. The book does not teach the reader how to learn accounting or how to prevent risks but rather unveils a guide to different aspects of finance and how a knowledge of these changes investors and managers.
Review
In this book, Shield steps away from the over-explained corporate finance to what really needs to be known about corporate finance. It is a much easier guide since it skips the details that can be dismissed and focuses more on the important ones. It gives the reader an overview, but still detailed and business-friendly, approach to corporate finance.
Shield uses many events from the real world as examples for issues in financial management; he also teaches how to respond to these. The fully-detailed table of contents also allows the reader to skim through the topics and focus on the ones they want, making it a much more efficient guide.
